Ballerina partnered with Maddox.gg to gamify the launch of a new product, using play to drive in-store engagement and activate their POS exposure during the release period.

Ballerina needed a way to stand out in-store and create excitement around a new product release.

The challenge was to build a simple activation that felt playful and on-brand, appealed to a broad audience, and encouraged consumers to actively engage at the shelf, not just pass by it.

Goal

A playful retail experience

Create a seasonal game that captures Ballerina’s brand attitude and playfulness, activates in-store POS, and drives retail traffic through a play-to-win sampling mechanic tied directly to the new product.

The results

The activation drove strong in-store engagement, with product samples claimed daily throughout the entire campaign period — creating sustained retail traffic and buzz around the launch.
